The Rowan Tree

The Rowan Tree is a small, unique retailer selling everything from bath robes to mugs, baubles to button boxes. They focus on offering a huge selection of goods from local designers and wanted a website redesign to match their quirky style, themed specifically around their name 'The Rowan Tree' to give the site a more natural, stylish aesthetic.

Looking back at the plant from which they took their name, I created a new green and orange colour scheme based on the leaves and berries of rowan trees, used as bright pop colours to contrast the use of white space. To match the style of their shop and many of the items they sell, I went for a more hand-crafted feel, softening the corners and utilising handwriting and seriffed fonts to pair nicely with the visuals of the rowan tree branches that are utilised all throught the site.
